Hello Mamas! My name is Tracey Dugi. I have been a nurse since 2007 and a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner since 2021.
I am a wife to an amazingly supportive husband, mama to 7 beautiful children ranging in ages from due in November 2023 to 20 years old.
I spent my RN career in NICU, Newborn Nursery, and Labor & Delivery. Currently I am practicing as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. For my entire adult life I have been personally and professionally caring for babies. I am passionate about babies and their families.
I can now reflect and appreciate how incredibly blessed I was to have that “mama coach” in my life when I had my first baby, encouraging and supporting me through the early days months and years of parenting. I took it for granted this was everyones experience. It wasn’t until I began my nursing career caring for newborns and their families that I realized this crucial education and support was missing for the vast majority of families.
Being a Mama Coach allows me the privilege to provide support and education to make Mama-ing a little easier. I would be honored to be a part of your journey.

Good question! We are called The Mama Coach because years ago, when Carrie’s first boy was very small, she often wondered out loud to herself, “Where is my Mama Coach?” and “I need a Mama Coach!”. Carrie searched and searched for qualified support and realized there was a need for qualified support for new families. We recognize that our name can give the impression that we only serve moms, but we will continue to work and learn to ensure our messaging is clear that all people are welcome here. Parents carry a heavy load, and do it with grace. All parents deserve support, and The Mama Coach is the answer you’ve been searching for.
We do not just support moms — we help ALL people. All are welcome here, and we are committed to providing you with quality support, no matter your gender or family dynamic. As we learned in nursing school, your family is who YOU say they are.
We get asked this one all the time. As Registered Nurses, having merely one method does not align with how we were trained in University to utilize the nursing process.
The Nursing Process is defined as, a “systematic approach to care using the fundamental principles of critical thinking, client-centered approaches to treatment, goal-oriented tasks, evidence-based practice (EDP) recommendations, and nursing intuition. Holistic and scientific postulates are integrated to provide the basis for compassionate, quality-based care” (*1).
Simply put, we will assess your child using our nursing training to determine the best way to help your family reach their goals, walking beside you all the way. You can choose us with confidence, knowing you have picked the most qualified resource to support your family’s journey.

Yes. As Registered Nurses, we have years of training on where to access credible guidelines and information. All of our programming is based on extensive research from credible sources.
As Registered Nurses, it is our professional obligation to manage client records and confidential information properly. We use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) that is compliant throughout North America. Even though we share the same brand, we are all independent Registered Nurses with our own private practices. As such, we each have our own EMR that is private and secure. We do not share EMR or client information between one another without consent.
Often they are — the answer largely depends on where you live and what your private insurance covers. For example, in Canada, our services are covered under ‘Lactation’, ‘Registered Nurse Services’ or ‘Health Spending Accounts’. In the United States our services can be covered as well, through HSA or FSAs. Reach out to me for more information.
